NETs (network operations) are organized on-air gatherings where amateur radio operators check in, practice communications, and share information. Below are the regular NETs in our area.

NET Etiquette

How to Check In:

  1. Listen first to understand the format
  2. Wait for Net Control to call for check-ins
  3. Give your callsign clearly (phonetics optional)
  4. State if you have traffic or just checking in
  5. Be brief and courteous

General Guidelines:

  • Use proper operating procedures
  • Keep transmissions concise
  • No rag-chewing during formal nets
  • Turn off CTCSS/PL squelch to hear all stations
  • Stand by if you miss your turn
  • Thank Net Control when you sign off

  • CW Traffic NET: 3.570 MHz, Daily 7:00 PM local
  • Maritime Mobile NET: 14.300 MHz, Daily 12:00 PM ET
